Order FAQs

Quality Standards

Soma prioritizes quality, transparency, and compliance in our sourcing and testing processes. While peptides do not fall under USP monograph standards for pharmaceuticals, our testing and quality control align with industry best practices, including USP 797 and 1079 where applicable.

  • Each batch undergoes independent third-party testing, including both purity and quantity verification, and is issued a Certificate of Analysis (COA)
  • Batch numbers are assigned to ensure full traceability across COAs and vial labeling
  • Multiple vials are tested from each batch to confirm consistency
  • Testing is conducted by an independent laboratory, separate from manufacturing, following cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines for quality assurance

At Soma, quality is never a question — it’s a promise. Our products are tested by independent labs that follow cGMP and ICH guidelines. While we partner with multiple labs based on specific needs, Chromate serves as our primary testing provider.

🟢 Potency

Every batch is tested to confirm it contains the right amount of active ingredient — within 10% of the intended dose — so you get exactly what you expect, every time.

🟢 Sterility

This test is to make sure our products are free of bacteria or harmful contaminants, following strict safety standards used in pharmacies nationwide (USP <797>).

🟢 Endotoxins

This test, alongside sterility testing, ensures our products are free from harmful bacterial toxins. Our peptides are tested for bacterial endotoxins and complies with USP <85> requirements.

🟢 pH Balance

This test confirms that our bacteriostatic solution contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol and maintains a sterile formulation, minimizing the risk of irritation or tissue damage.

Soma is not a 503A or 503B pharmacy. We are a research and wellness brand that partners with licensed providers and labs to offer high-quality peptides and related compounds. Our products are not manufactured by or dispensed through a traditional compounding pharmacy. Instead, they are intended for clinical research, physician-guided use, or wellness optimization — depending on the context and regulations governing their application. Here’s how we differ from traditional compounding pharmacies:

  • Manufacturing & Testing – Unlike compounding pharmacies, which prepare patient-specific medications under 503A or batch-compound under 503B guidelines, our products are manufactured in commercial-grade facilities that follow stringent quality control measures, including HPLC, mass spectrometry, sterility, and endotoxin testing.
  • Intended Use & Labeling – Compounded medications are intended for direct patient use under a prescription. Our peptides are not dispensed as prescription medications and are typically labeled as for research or investigational purposes, depending on the product category.
  • Regulatory Oversight – Compounding pharmacies fall under FDA and state pharmacy board regulations, requiring adherence to USP <797> and <795> for sterile and non-sterile preparations. Our products are not compounded but instead fall within IRB-reviewed investigational frameworks, ensuring ethical oversight for research applications where applicable.
  • Institutional Review Board (IRB) Involvement – Certain investigational products may be used in IRB-approved research settings, allowing for structured evaluation under clinical protocols. This differs significantly from a compounding pharmacy, which operates within patient-specific or office-use dispensing guidelines.

We prioritize transparency and product integrity, with all peptides undergoing third-party testing for purity and sterility. For any products that require prescription fulfillment through a 503A or 503B facility, we work with licensed practitioners and pharmacy partners as appropriate.

Investigational products may be used in IRB-approved research settings, allowing for structured evaluation under clinical protocols. This means you are using products that aren’t just high-quality, but are actively contributing to emerging data and clinical insights.

Every product is manufactured to meet stringent quality and purity standards suitable for use in investigational research settings. While we’re not collecting data from every clinic, Soma Peptides are used in IRB-approved studies and investigator-initiated research, giving clinics and patients confidence in the quality and consistency of the materials.
